Berkay Pinarbasi studied mechanical engineering at the TU Darmstadt. During his studies, he put his focus on the simulation of mechatronic systems, vehicle dynamics and high-performance computing. In his master thesis he analysed various forecasting methods of photovoltaic power, electrical and thermal power consumption utilising physical as well as data-driven models.
Since November 2023, he has been employed as a research associate in the energy systems research group. As part of living lab DELTA, he works on the subproject dedicated to creating an energy optimised residential quarter, where his main area consists of implementing and integrating functions into the energy management system.
