Edward Kraft studied mechanical engineering at the TU Darmstadt. During his studies, he focused on topics related to vehicle technology and mechatronic systems. The focus of his master thesis was a load monitoring and remaining lifetime prediction method for brake systems.
Since March 2018, he has been working in the Vehicle Systems Research Group at the IMS. As part of his work, he does research on the longitudinal dynamic driving simulator Driveception developed at IMS. In a cooperation project with BMW AG, he examines the perception and evaluation of gear shifting processes in new electrical and hybrid drivetrains.
