Anja Geipl studied mechanical engineering at TU Darmstadt. During her studies, she focused on mechatronic systems engineering and robustness as well as uncertainty analysis in technical systems.
During an internship at Linde Material Handling GmbH, she built a simulation model of a lithium-ion battery, which particularly considers electrical and thermal properties. In her master's thesis, she further developed the simulation model and investigated the robustness of battery management system algorithms by integrating them into the simulation model.
Since August 2025, she has been working as a research assistant in the Energy Storage Systems research group at IMS. Her research focuses on the simulation of multimodal energy systems and the associated components.
