Maximilian Roth, M. Sc.

Maximilian Roth studied industrial engineering with a technical specialization in mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt and spent time abroad at the University of Technology Sydney. The focus was on fuzzy logic-based control of mechatronic systems. In his master's thesis, he dealt with the conceptual design and optimization of a sector-coupled decentralized energy supply system with a reversible solid oxide fuel cell to ensure the operation of a bus depot.

Since July 2021, he has been a research associate in the Energy Systems research group at the IMS with the goal of obtaining a doctorate. The research focus here is the application-oriented conceptual design and implementation of optimization environments for the design and operation of sector-coupled multimodal microgrids.
