Leon Klinar studied Mechanical and Process Engineering at TU Darmstadt. In his master’s thesis, he worked on the optimization of the operating strategy of decentralised energy systems with consideration of the uncertainties of the input variables of the underlying mathematical optimization.

Since February 2024, he has been employed as a research associate at the IMS in the energy systems research group. Building on his Masterthesis, he researches in the field of microgrid optimization.
