Brief description
Mechatronic systems are the greatest innovation driver in the automotive sector and a modern vehicle can no longer be imagined without them. Hence the focus of the specialization Automotive Mechatronics is on innovative systems of the drivetrain and chassis (e.g. dual clutch transmissions, active steering systems, engine controls, …) and novel driver assistance and safety systems (e.g. adaptive speed control, pedestrian detection systems, overtaking assistants, novel headlight concepts, …).
The students are also given the opportunity to build up substantial knowledge of electrical drives, which will be of great importance in the next years.
